Peer Coaches and Workshops
Learning Support Services supports UCSC undergraduate students’ academic success through two key programs: Peer Success Coaching and the Successful Slug Workshop Series. These programs offer students the skills, strategies, and personalized support they need to thrive in their academic journey at UCSC and beyond, by using science-backed practices for effective learning and personal growth.

Peer Success Coaching
Peer Success Coaching gets you to where you want to be. The program connects interested students with peer coaches. In private, one-on-one meetings, students can reflect on their experience at UCSC, learn new study strategies, and get connected to resources and opportunities.

Successful Slug Workshops
The Successful Slug Workshop series offers 45-minute workshops to give you the tools to be successful at UCSC. The topics in the workshops are science-backed best practices for effective, durable learning! What you’re taught at the workshops really works!

Peer Success Coaching
Coaching is a wonderful resource for all undergraduate students looking for support that goes beyond tutoring, making a plan to be the best student they can be, looking to connect with peers and make friends, or making the most of their time at UCSC.
